    • Information you provide when contacting us by email, phone, or through our website
    • Technical information collected automatically when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, and browsing behaviour, via Google Tag Manager and Facebook Pixel (see Section 7, Cookies and Tracking)

    • Improve our services and understand how our website is used
    • Where you have consented, send you marketing communications about our services (you may opt out at any time)

    4. Our Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

    • Professional advisors, such as our accountant, where necessary.
    • Regulatory or legal authorities, where required by law.

    6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, typically for a period of six years following the end of our relationship with you, in line with UK tax record-keeping requirements. Property access information (such as key safe or alarm codes) is retained only for as long as it remains relevant to an active or upcoming booking and is deleted or securely disposed of once no longer needed.

    8. International Data Transfers

Some of our administrative support functions, including booking coordination, scheduling assistance, and customer follow-up calls, may be carried out by staff based outside the United Kingdom, including in Nigeria.

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK in this way, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR, which may include the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or other UK Government-approved transfer mechanisms. Any staff or contractors handling personal data on our behalf, wherever they are based, are contractually required to protect that data to the same standard as required under UK GDPR, and to use it only for the purposes we have authorised.

If you would like more information about the safeguards in place for any international transfer of your data, please contact us at info@brighternestcleanings.com.
